If only I could give six stars. I’ve been to boba tea joints in LA, Boston, Macau, SF, Hong Kong, Taipei, and Oakland. Boba Tea & Gift is the best. Become a patron of Boba Tea & Gift. I dare you to enjoy excellence.
This time around I chose an iced tea. I had a lung ching iced tea, which tasted of superbly sophisticated flavor and . . . cost a mere $1.60 for approximately 0.75 liters! When I first tasted it I had to restrain myself from doing the Sign of the Cross even though I’m merely a raised Papist as opposed to being devout.
Right now I’m writing the review in Boba Tea & Gifts. Yes, again the internet is free and wireless. The tables are clean and nice and new. The stools and couchs are leather and new although some of the stools are cloth and wood. The radio plays smooth jazz. They offer food of which I have yet to sample, but I will soon and so should you.

Usually, when I enter a Boba Place, I order Milk Green Tea with Tapioca Balls. Today, I was VERY surprised! At most Boba places, when you “milkify” your Tea, you can tell it’s still Tea with just some Milk to lighten the drink just a little. I was taken aback, Boba Tea & Gifts’ Milk Tea is more like a MilkShake… not kidding!
I really had to get used to the surprising change in consistency! But in the end, I can appreciate this change of recipe for “Milk” Tea. A non-Dairy Creamer is used in the Milk Teas, but you can ask for real Milk (Half & Half) or have it made just like all the other Boba places if you wish. Chose the large ($2.65 + $0.60) Matcha Green Tea with Tapioca Balls ($0.30) for $3.55. BTW, the “Balls” were of the perfect consistency… the ones that doesn’t stick together in a lump at the bottom… and still retains their consistency despite the presence of Ice… PERFECT! I’ve slammed Tapioca Express in previous reviews for not making their “Balls” correctly…
Matcha Green Tea is the Tea by which Green Tea Mochi and Green Tea Ice Cream is made; and it’s used in Japanese Tea ceremonies. BTW, if you bought this Tea alone by the can… it’s SUPER DUPER EXPENSIVE!!!
Sharon, the owner with her husband, BTW, is celebrating, the first anniversary of the business. There were no other customers in the place at the time… we discussed art, tea, and (of course) Bicycling! She is soft-spoken and is very nice!
All in all, a refreshing cup of Boba before the Bike Ride back to Lodi…

As others have said, the owner is very nice. The atmosphere is pleasant, and most importantly, the boba teas are delicious. I had the Thai iced tea with boba. It was the best I’ve ever had. I drank it in about 5 minutes. I’ve had Thai iced tea at other places that had an artificial type flavor, but this was the real thing. I also loved the small selection of gifts. She had a lot of pretty, feminine gifts for under $20.

It’s a quaint shop tucked away (almost hidden) amongst the shops in old town Elk Grove. I drove through and missed it on a few occasions. The “gifts” are a big part of the shop, as there are a number of asian tea sets, dishes, and other far eastern articles for sale. The prices aren’t cheap, but it’s a great place to go if you’re looking for unique tea and dining sets…
The owner is friendly, and she’ll help you with any questions you have concerning the drinks. At first, I ordered a mango snow with mango jelly. Unfortunately, she didn’t have any mango jelly made, so I ordered my drink with lychee jelly instead, which was just as good. The mango snow had a bit too much of that artificial powdered taste that always seems to permeate boba tea joints. It wasn’t anywhere near the best I’ve had, but it’ll have to do, since there aren’t very many boba places in Elk Grove…
As an aside, make sure that you bring cash with you, because there is a 50 cent charge when you use plastic (so annoying sometimes)…

This is the best boba places I have ever been to. The environment is great and the drinks are incredible! I’ve lived in San Jose, San Francisco, San Diego, Orange County, and Los Angeles and frequent many Drink places and this place is one of the best Drink houses I have even been to. I usually order the Mango Smoothe with lychee or mango jelly and it is consistently delicious. And the Selection of magazines and things to look are at are outstanding. I go there at least twice a week and I always find something new!

I LOVE this place! The atmosphere is clean, fresh and inviting. The service was quick and friendly. The prices are lower than Lollicup and it is right in old town Elk Grove!
There are bistro seats out front and I sat and enjoyed my Strawberry/Banana (with Boba) outside with my dog at my side. It was a great afternoon and a great, refreshing Boba drink. I highly recommend!

If you’re anywhere near Elk Grove you need to try the Boba Tea at this comfortable and welcoming shop.
They make so many flavors of the tea and have a nice seating area to relax and enjoy your beverage. The owner is always there and really makes you feel at home. Boba tea is a tapioca milkshake-like cold drink. It’s really good. Try it and you’ll be hooked!
You should know that this shop is run by my sister-in-law. I live in the Bay Area and just visited it for the first time this past weekend. It really is fantastic and worth the visit – I promise! Try the tea and write a Yelp review too!

This place is great. The milk tea with boba is perfect and my kids like the strawberry snoothies. The decor is nice, as well. I asked about the bamboo mural on the wall and it was painted by a local artist. The owner is very nice and friendly. You can’t beat a great local shop, that supports other local business.
Makes me wish I lived nearby, so I could walk over and have some milk tea. I live on the West side of Elk Grove, so can’t make it as often as I’d like. I hope this place stays around.
You should definitely check it out.

I love the owner and the setup. The boba may not be the best here but it is so clean and relaxing.
