About Tea
High grade tea is like a great song. It crosses cultural gaps. It leaves sensation in our memories. It refreshes our minds and calms our emotion.
The benefits of tea have been known to many different cultures for centuries. From white tea to black tea, green tea to oolong tea, all of them contain essential natural compounds that benefit the health of their users according to many studies. Some of these compounds are antioxidants such as polyphenols, flavonoids, and catechins which take on free radicals in the body and prevent them from harming the healthy cells thus helping to reduce the risk of cancer. Polyphenols also has been found in other studies to help prevent blood clotting and also to lower cholesterol levels. Tea also contains natural fluoride which helps to strengthen tooth enamel, and controls the growth of plaque thus preventing gum disease. Other herbal teas, red teas and fruit infusions though technically not tea since they are not derived from the Camellia plant, contain vitamins and antioxidants and provide relaxation and calming effects.
